(Again excuse me if I make many mistakes… I’m a beginner in english -) )
After a retreat, or a long intense period of meditation, at the main time you are very peacefull quiete and conscient, and at the same that full of energie who overflows…
Well, I mean that it doest that to me. But i could notice the same attitude from other people too, even after Vipassana. Its like during the retreat you charge your battery and then you’re full power fayaaaaaaa !!!
I can explain you one of the meditation technique of Osho that i learned there, it is alternative and I really liked it. Super efficent to stop thinking and to be in silence in the head.
It was the main technique of the NO MIND cam; the name of the technique is « Jibbrish ». For the ones who doesn’t know what means Jibbrish, it is talking in a language who doesnt exist, but it looks like you are speacking. Speak chinese if you don’t know chinese, speak german if you don’t know german, don’t speak italian if you know italian… It is important to never say anything in a language that you understand.Blakaripitooshakamritibouuu Plakastraaapataaa!!
So the instructions are that you have to keep talking in Jibbrish, and put your full awareness on what you are doing. And also keep eyes closed all the time, don’t watch what others are doing it does not matter…
At the main time, it is adviced to be full of energie, to give punch in the air, to kick violently the ass of a pillow 🙂 To be as mad as possible (without heurting the meditator neighbour of course, so, you have to control yourself a minimum…)
And you have to keep doing this for ONE HOUR, every day during 7 days.
After that, when the hour is gone you come to know it, and madness stop, and every body sit for one hour and actually meditate… For that time you stop doing anything. You stop thinking (thinking = doing something of course) and just BE.
The result of the first hour of Jibbrish-madness… well…
First you realize at which point you are mad. Of course you come to see that you can not stop thinking, that it keeps coming even if you focus on jibbrish. That is the base of meditation, understand and see that the mind does’nt stop chatting with herself.
The thought who come the more often is « Is it right, what I am doing? I’m I out of sens? Should I stop and get out of here asap?? » Hahaha! Of course your mind will say that cause she does’nt like you being trying to stop her work!
So before starting, you have to be really determinate that what you are doing is right and you will do you’re best.
Every time you realize you are thinking, it means you were not putting enough energy in the meditation, then you have to shake your head, give some slap in the air, jump, whatever, change the chinese-jibbrish to german-jibbrish !
Results are surprising after. Silence is automatic and you get connected with your soul, youre real essence. It makes feel amazing.
Actually, the purpose is to realize at which point thoughts are also Jibbrish. Most of the time thinking is useless. We are never in the present moment, always projecting ourselves in the past or the futur.
Thinking is a fantastic tool, but if you don’t learn to use itproperly and to be conscient, then you are a slave of your mind, ignorant, and you keep using against yourself, and against others.
It’s like thinking was a hammer. As we are now inconscient, we keep giving hits with the hammer everywhere, in the air sometimes, sometimes violently on the wall, breaking everything. It is useless, we keep harming ourselves and others.
So if you learn meditation, you learn the art of living, who means to be at what you are doing, and think only when it is necessary. Be at what you are doing. When you are eating, you are eating. When you are walking, you are aware that you are aware. When you need to think about something then you think. Like this you find peace within. That is meditation. Total awareness of everything, every single thought, is unlightment…
For Osho meditation is the only medicine.
Apparently Jibbrish technique work even if you do it for only 5 min. So I propose you to do the experiment, if you have meditate already in your life r not it is a good start.
If you ever feel nervous and mind is chatting non sense, there is some tension within, then try.
You go alone in some room (or with someone who will do it too. You should not feel observed), you put an alarm to know when the time is over, and during the time that you choose you keep talking in Jibbrish. Very important to keep your eyes close, you can even put something on it to be sure, it is adviced for beginners.
When time is over, stop and stay sit for sometime, and do all your best to stop thinking. When you realize that you were thinking even if you were trying not to, don’t generate negativity by telling you something like « you suck, you can not do it, look you were thinking again ». no no no. Just realize you were thinking and be persitent, stop again. Even if you don’t stop thinking for more then 1 second it will cool you down, it will be beneficial…
Share your experience if you try it!
